Gallery of Fountains and Concrete Designs
The fountains and bird feeder styles shown on these two pages will be available June 2011 Custom orders, for pick up or delivery - early July. Casting starts in May. It is a short and busy season, so please order early. The studio garden is open for viewing in July. By appointment so call or email if you want to pop in and see my larger fountains. I am encouraging commission work so if you have an idea for your garden, please feel free to discuss. I can design unique solutions in creating a water feature for you. Free Standing Fountains These fountain are designed to stand free on tripod support. They require a reservoir to hold the circulating water or can be placed poolside and the water is recirculated through an existing pond via small pump and 1/2 inch black tubing. A small bracket on the top leaf holds the tubing in place. Pumps and tubing are supplied. - Prices range from $350 to $500 See ground fountains, below, for photos of "cast" reservoirs. Your system can employ a cast reservoir, raised or sunken, a simple bucket sunken in ground or any pretty plant pot with the drain hole sealed. Note These fountains with a reservoir pot can be brought indoors for use in foyer, lobby or any quiet nook in the house to read by - lovely in winter. All fountain leaves are left out in the winter, with plastic bag for protection.

The chickadees favoured this little fountain. With (finch) bird seed sprinkled on the leaves, the whole family was gathering to get seeds and bathe in the throat of the leaf. Sheer pleasure to watch. I set this up in a spot where the birds could do lookout for any cats.

These two pond side fountain/feeders are attractive to the small birds as well. The leaves are cast with deep pockets on each side to hold small seeds. The water is circulated from the pond to leaf in a small rivulet, something the sparrows and chickadees use as a bathwater. The leaf on the left is painted with acrylic paints. Prices range from$100 to $250, dependant on complexity and size of leaf. Price includes pump and tubing. |
